Salary: How Much Is Your Worth?
Salary policies and bonds are probably one of the biggest obstacles in any interview. You may have gone through the curve balls with ease but once the money talks begin, things could get really bad.
What you should keep in mind is that salary policies shouldn’t badger you—at all. Two key issues are being tackled when your future employer asks, “How much do you want to be paid?” First, they want to know how much worth you give to yourself. Second, is for you to know if your future employer is willing to pay your worth.
Remember that your worth is composed of your job, your capability and willingness to perform it. That is why as much as possible, work around the parameters of the salary.
Be realistic. Don’t ask for an amount the company is unable to pay or overcompensate. Know what you’re worth and then prepare to stand your ground.
